I became interested in Toyota Supras before I had enough money to buy one. I joined the New Zealand Supra email list in March 99.

I did not yet own a Supra, but was keen to experience Toyota’s finest. I bought my first car, a 1986.5 GA70 in May 99 for $4250 NZ. It was a Mk3, 2.0TT, auto, burgundy coloured with 116000km on the clock. My first real taste of the Toyota Supra.

There was not anything wrong with this car. It proved very reliable, but it just was not what I really wanted. As I found out more about the different types of Supra, I realised I wanted a 5-spd and one with more power :-)

I have now owned a grand total of 4 Supras, the latest being an ’84 5 spd which I am using for the 7MGTE conversion. You can read all about it by following the links throughout this site. Enjoy!
