Toyota Celica Supra

'82-'86 2.8 5MGE or 5ME

You will need to keep some bits off your 5M: Engine mounts, fuel filter

bracket attached to the block, lower radiator hose, Oil pan, flywheel, oil pressure switch (digital dash only), heater hoses, brake booster to intake manifold hose.

Mk3 wreck for parts

Your 7MGTE donor car. Make sure you grab the COMPLETE engine

Including: Engine wiring to ECU, ECU, Alternator, Power steering pump, AC compressor bracket, and AC compressor, Air Flow Meter,

Fuel Injector Resistor, Igniter, Fuel pump (optional), Noise suppressor,

Fuel pump relay and resistor (only if swapping to 7MGTE pump)

Exhaust flange bolted to turbo elbow (needed for custom downpipe), oil cooler and lines

Intercooler and all intercooler hoses

Alternator wiring to the fuse box,

Brake booster hose & boost restriction valve (My Mk2 already had one), Upper radiator hose, Dipstick, As much wiring as you can grab from

under the dash. Must have B1, and M1 plugs (big yellow ones)

Parts to fabricate

Reweld the 7M oil pickup to fit in 5M oil pan

New oil dipstick hole

(on the 7M block where the 5M hole is. Need to have this drilled

Plug the old dipstick hole

Trim Mk2 fan shroud

Intercooler mounting brackets

Oil cooler mounting brackets

Air Flow meter mounting bracket

Oil filter relocation kit

Otherwise 7M filter won't clear the 5M engine mounts

Air filter/ AFM adapter

120x90mm flange with approx 3” circular hole. Need a pod filter as space is limited

Down pipe and exhaust

Use Mk2 exhaust as template. 3" is a good size for a turbo car.

7MGE pressure plate

I had mine beefed up to about double the factory clamping force

Clutch disc

I used a custom Kevlar disc (will handle future upgrades to 7MGTE)

Flywheel resurfaced

Must be stone ground

MSD Tach adapter

#8920 (For Analog AND Digital dash)

Gauges

Oil pressure 0-100 psi

Boost/vacuum up to 20 psi

EGT pyrometer 0-1600 F (optional)

Fuel pressure 0-100 psi (optional)
